My Dog Pulls on the Leash
Why do dogs pull? Well, the simple answer is it works. We don’t give dogs enough credit at times. While as humans we do all sorts of dumb things for no reason at all, our four-legged canine counterparts only do things that work or that produce a result! They are experts at cause and effect. So how do we stop them from pulling? We teach a more rewarding behavior to replace it. It’s not hard, but does take practice and I will show you the routines to get that puller to pay attention.

3 classes per session
Fridays: 6:30-7:30 (July 12, 19, & 26)

COST: $167 (non-members); $150 (Bar K Members)

Savvy Dog

Debbie Disch is the owner / operator of Savvy Dog LLC, a boutique-style dog daycare & training facility in Waldo. Savvy Dog specializes in providing socialization, structured play and training activities for dogs that attend “school” during the week.  Debbie also provides individual coaching consults for dogs and their people.

Debbie’s approach is based on reward-based training techniques.  What motivates our dogs?  How do they learn?  How do we train ourselves to listen to our dogs so we can guide them to be happy, healthy, well connected members of our families?  Sessions are designed to help answer these questions along with building strong relationships, developing a common language and setting clear and consistent expectations. .
